In the Summer of 2005 I was hired by Timex to roam the western United States as the official Gonzo Reporter for Expedition4am, a marketing campaign to brand their Expedition line of watches more closely to the Outdoor Adventure demo.
My articles appeared on a forum-style blog site (expedition4am.com) and documented the exploits of myself and 3 other Crew Members. During the 6+ week road trip we enjoyed outdoors adventures such as mountain climbing, mountain biking, river rafting, paragliding, rock climbing and random debauchery.
The links on the right are the stories I wrote while on assignment. Most articles were written on the road, while bouncing along to the next adventure in the crammed back seat of the small Chevy Astro Van we called home. No doubt it was a backwoods lesson in on-the-fly and off-the-cuff writing... but a wonderful experience all around.
